How To Downgrade iOS 7 (7.0) To iOS 6 (6.1.4/6.1.3)

So many people have been updating to iOS 7 and having issues with UDID activation, and also unaware of all the bugs and problems that iOS 7 still has, after all it is a beta build! So in this post I will show you how to downgrade, but bare in mind that this will downgrade you to iOS 6.1.4 for iPhone 5 and 6.1.3 for other devices. This means that if you are jailbroken you will lose this as you are unable to downgrade to the software versions of iOS 7 that are currently jailbroken (6.1.2).

It is pretty simple to downgrade through iTunes. If you are currently on iOS 7 then skip to step 1 of the tutorial. If your device is stuck on the setup and the UDID is not activated then place the phone into recovery mode. To do this unplug the device and make sure that it has a decent amount of battery. Turn the phone off and then hold down the home button and reconnect the power cable, this should power on the phone and the computer will detect the phone in recovery mode.

1. Connect the device to the computer
2. Download the appropriate firmware below for the device you are trying to downgrade.
3. Navigate to iTunes and hold down the shift key (Windows) or alt key (Mac) and click the restore button. This will open a pop up window and then select the firmware you have downloaded and the downgrade will start.
