Prepare For Final Electra Public Release By Removing To.Panga, LiberiOS & Leaked Electra RC1

So our community has been on a rollercoaster over the pas few months with many "jailbreaks" getting released, with many not knowing which of these are safe to use. Like me, you may have tried some of these "developer only" jailbreaks. I wanted to post some instructions with help to remove these harmful files from your device and prepare this for the final stable build of Electra that comes with Cydia. In this article we will be looking at removing to.panga, LiberiOS and Coolstar's leaked version of Electra RC1.

Coolstar tweeted to say he is removing the checks for the harmful code in some of these other jailbreaks:
To be similar to other previous jailbreakd, Electra final will not have checks for topanga or bootlegged copies of RC 1.x. it will try installing anyways (only checking and uninstalling liberiOS or Electra betas).

If Cydia is non-functional, futurerestore and try again.
Coolstar states that Electra will find and remove the LiberiOS jailbreak, but to be on the safe side we will remove it. To do this use the following instructions:

Automatic SSH Method to remove LiberiOS:

Step 1: Download the iTerminal app from the Apple App Store
Step 2: Open the settings app > Select Wifi > Click the i next to your preferred wifi network and make a not of the IP address
Step 3: Launch the app from the home screen and select the SSH option
Step 4: Use the following details to connect to your device via SSH

IP address obtained from settings app
Port - 22
Username - root
Password - alpine

Step 5: Enter the following SSH command and hit enter
bash /jb/removeMe.sh

This script will now proceed to automatically remove all jailbreak files installed by LiberiOS

Step 6: Download FilzaEscaped (I recommend downloading this from Tweakbox)
Step 7: Open Filza and navigate to the following /etc/hosts
Step 8: We are now going to edit a host file and remove the following line (make sure you do not delete this host file!)
127.0.0.1 mesu.apple.com
Complete!

Remove To.Panga

Step 1: Download the following script HERE!
Step 2: Using SSH (I use either Cyberduck or Filza) place the script in /bootstrap
Step 3: Using SSH type in the following command (you may want to use iTerminal as seen above if you are doing this directly on your device
cd /bootstrap
Followed by
bash remover.sh
If this is unsuccessful then use the following command
zsh remover.sh
You are done and to.panga is removed!

Remove leaked Electra RC1

Coolstar has been posting some damning tweets recently about people using his leaked ipa, however this is quite simple to remove if you intend on installing the final public release when this is revealed. Again like the previous methods we are going to use script to remove all the files associated with the leaked version that Coolstar will be searching for in the final release.

Step 1: Download the script from HERE!
Step 2: Using SSH (I use either Cyberduck or Filza) place the script in /bootstrap
Step 3: Using SSH type in the following command (you may want to use iTerminal as seen above if you are doing this directly on your device
cd /bootstrap
Followed by
bash remove.sh
If this is unsuccessful then use this command
zsh remove.sh
You have now removed Leaked Electra RC1. For good measure it is probably worth running this command too:
uncache
Hopefully this post helped you prepare your device for the final release of Electra due to launch in the next few days. Remember if you have any questions, leave a comment below!
